U.S. Bank Project Manager eCRM in Richmond, Virginia

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides project management expertise across cross-organizational initiatives that deliver strong project execution and overall process improvement. Candidate will possess strong communication and presentation skills as well as leadership experience to manage project portfolios. Manages a consolidated portfolio of related projects from initial concept through post-implementation benefit validation. This includes analysis and multiple implementation cycles. Authors and presents project management artifacts while working across the organization to obtain data, align complex dependencies, and ensure strategic alignment and resource allocation. Ensures project governance is established and successfully implemented. Plans and controls multiple related projects with complex dependencies and shared resources and trains others in the use of planning tools. Skillfully engages and influences key project stakeholders and resources to surface project opportunities, solve problems, and foster quality outcomes. Collaboratively implements solution development activities to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides extensive project management expertise, including strategic, organizational, financial, business, and project knowledge, in order to deliver executive-level analysis and summaries of portfolio activity and status.

  2. Collaborate with business partners, subject matter experts, and other team members to define and document high level business needs and detailed requirements

  3. Ensures project governance is established and observed by recognizing, clarifying, and prioritizing project plan activities. Communicates project metrics and achievements through effective, clear, concise, and relevant executive-level communication for all program/project stakeholders.

  4. Delivers objective advice, expertise and specialist skills with the aim of creating value, infusing efficiency, and improving project execution performance.

  5. Drives the direction and actions of the project teams, manages priorities, and assigns work appropriately on multiple concurrent projects of varying size up to and including eCRM Program Office initiatives.

  6. Acts as a change agent by emphasizing and encouraging continuous improvement; ensures that best practices and lessons learned are shared widely and applied across the organization.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

• Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Relevant business process improvement, project facilitation, and project management skills and experience

• 10 years of progressive related experience with proficiency and understanding in one or more functions, including 5 years of experience in process-related roles; 3 years in a banking/financial services environment; and a year with financial measurements and metrics

• Demonstrated skills and experience in process assessment (documenting as-is), process analysis (identifying improvement opportunities and defining future state), and portfolio management (rolling-up multiple related work streams, projects, &/or programs into a consolidated portfolio view)

• Superior analytical and problem solving skills

• Advanced skills in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word)

• Ability to work with others to resolve project issues and manage stringent timelines for project deliverables

• Demonstrated excellence in coaching, collaboration, and project management expertise

• Training/certification in Lean Management System, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Professional, process improvement, facilitation, and project management methodologies/tools

• Graduate degree

Preferred Location: Minneapolis but a remote work arrangement is a possibility.
