Personnel for this mission critical work will need experience with nuclear waste remediation, environmental cleanup, waste (sludge) shipment and cask storage, “cold and dark” activities, NQA-1 equipment fabrications, commissioning and D&D/D4 (Deactivation, decommissioning, decontamination & demolition) of former nuclear waste sites. Labor Category Scope Description Minimum Qualifications Principle Designer Under general direction of lead engineer or supervisor, interprets contract requirements to produce optimum plant design and piping layout for all types of equipment. Certifications in AutoCAD and a 3-D modeling package such as SolidWorks or Inventor (or equivalent) and 15+ years of related experience. Senior Designer Under general supervision of lead engineer or supervisor, produces complex drawings and checking along with moderate to heavy layout in accordance with latest industry practice, related codes, economics and specific contract requirements. Certifications in AutoCAD and a 3-D modeling package such as SolidWorks or Inventor (or equivalent) plus 10 to 14 years of related experience. Designer Under general supervision, produces complex drawings and checking along with moderate layout in accordance with latest industry practice, related codes, economics and specific contract requirements. Certifications in AutoCAD and a 3-D modeling package such as SolidWorks or Inventor (or equivalent) plus 5 to 9 years of related experience.
