Job Description:

The Clinical Care Technician performs direct and indirect patient care tasks and unit clerical duties to assist in meeting patients’ needs for comfort, safety, and service. The Clinical Care Technician is partnered with and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Job Qualifications:

Education (For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.)

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a nursing assistant, emergency medical technician (EMT), medical assistant or related program.

Preferred Education:None


Minimum Experience Required:None

Preferred/Optional Experience: One year experience in healthcare which includes direct

patient care.


Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire and current applicable certification/license/registration as one of the following based on education obtained:

  • Must have or have had a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license obtained through the State of Wisconsin Department of Licensing

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
