Uses template and hand tools to cut core material by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Lays out core material along calibrated scale on cutting table or measures material with ruler and cuts material into lengths as needed
Positions pattern or template on material or marks around pattern or template and cuts out parts perfect or other ways of per planning
Cuts notches in edges of core to mark them for lay-up as needed
Shape and/or trim excess material into core kits for blueprint reading
Marks identification numbers on core as needed
Spreads material on table in single or multiple lays prior to cutting core kits
Experience with core material

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas. PPE is provided by AIM based on the employee’s position and exposure.
