Master Principal Solution Engineer - Install Base

As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

As a Master Principal Solution Engineer focused on working with our strategic Install Base accounts, you should have a broad knowledge and understanding of Oracle Technology solutions and products and how they're normally deployed at and provide value to our clients. Your duties will include:

  • Supporting the North America Technology Sales Organization in creating referenceable accounts among the existing customer base by encouraging the use of, installation, or upgrade to the latest releases of applicable Oracle software by delivering a repeatable process for the handling of escalated customer situations

  • Proactively working with the NAT Sales and Solution Engineering teams on critical accounts to determine that all internal and non-contractural roadblocks for closure are removed

  • Minimizing the amount of time that a given customer situation remains in an escalated status

  • Working with the NAT Sales Organization to help them deal with escalated customer situations they man encounter or become involved in, and to increase their productivity by reducing the amount of time they may need to spend on these situations

  • Providing guidance and advice to the NAT Sales Reps and Solution Engineers on the best courses of action available to help resolve customer success issues. These courses of action may involve leveraging other lines of business (LOBs) such as Development, Support, ACS, OCS, etc., ensuring the best and most appropriate resources are engaged

  • Working with key accounts that are implementing strategic solutions that are likely to buy more or influence other accounts in adopting our solutions. These accounts may need extra attention up to and including account/project management to ensure success

  • Materially and favorably impacting the sales revenue for Oracle products in the NAT customer base

  • Acting as a mentor and guide other members of the team focused on our Install Base accounts

  • Helping develop the processes and procedures related to the engagement of this team
