Oracle Customer Advocacy Business Intelligence Analyst - Business Analyst 2-Ops in Redwood City, California

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 2 plus years relevant work experience.

_Position Overview Business Intelligence Analyst_

This position is for supporting Customer Advocacy as *Business Intelligence Analyst, *to found and develop our new customer knowledge platform. The OBIEE Developer will analyze requirements and develop technical solutions and work products to include reports, dashboards, cubes, and documentation.

In addition, this resource will participate in full project life cycle implementation of an Oracle Business Intelligence solutions to include functional design, technical design, build, unit test, assembly test, system test and deployment, also supporting and debugging issues.

_Job Responsibilities:_

  • 3 years ETL Development or 3 years OBIEE/ Report Development.

  • Experience with OBIEE tools, techniques, architectures, and operations.

  • Experience with performance tuning skills with OBIEE and SQL.

  • Experience in data warehousing and data modeling.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.

  • Must be able to identify and assess complex problems for area of responsibility.

Oracle Consulting is growing its Customer Advocacy Team. As part of this team, you will be a key member of the Customer Advocacy team leading customer analytics and reporting, within Oracle Consulting. In this position, you will be responsible for technical development, implementation, and support of the customer data warehouse and reporting efforts.

The role works closely with the Consulting Leadership and Customer Advocacy Team leaders, as well as other Oracle teams, and will directly involved in the development of our Customer Knowledge Applications.

  • Sound understanding of BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse, and reporting techniques

  • Experience in business requirements gathering

  • Knowledge of standard project development life cycle concepts

  • Experience managing and maintaining meta-data

  • Experience using data cleansing, data quality tools

_Education_

  • B.S. (Computer Science, Information Systems, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry) with a 3.0 GPA and:

  • Other qualifications and experience, such as proven professional/technical experience in demonstrating an understanding of Applications at a functional and technical level (preferably Oracle).

As a Business Intelligence Analyst you are responsible for managing an extended team of developers, testers or engineers and drive delivery of a business module within a project (Delivery / Maintenance / Testing) You may serve as entry level specialist with expertise in particular application or product. You are responsible for functional/technical track of the project. You should be highly experienced in Business Intelligence platforms and be able to complete assigned duties with minimal direction from management.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. You will contribute to the requirements elicitation process by creating assigned parts of the requirements documentation with guidance from Customer Advocacy Quality Assurance Director.
