We are looking for an Applied Scientist capable of using Machine Learning and Data Science techniques to design and implement state-of-the-art solutions to unique and challenging problems. As an Applied Scientist in our team you will identify impactful problems, design and run experiments, investigate new algorithms, and find new ways of optimizing experience of Azure customers.

You possess strong communication skills and work effectively with both business and technical partners. You quickly gain a deep understanding of the problem you are solving and identify and evaluate potential solutions. You are self-motivated and can work without supervision.
Use machine learning and analytical techniques to solve business problems in cloud computing domain.
Analyze and extract relevant information from both structured and unstructured Azure data to help optimize experience of internal and external customers.
Design, develop, evaluate and deploy innovative predictive models and success metrics.
Partner with software engineering and product teams to drive real-time model deployments and new feature improvements.
Mentor engineers and scientists in the use of ML techniques data science best practices.
You will lead the design and development of the key metrics that drive cross-team decisions.
Performing In-depth Validations and Functionality testing to ensure data accuracy and connectivity between critical systems.
Creating Dashboards and other data analytics presenting data on network state.
Clear technical writing to support the Azure Networking.
- 2 years experience as a Data Scientist or Applied Scientist
Masters degree in Computer Science
Experience working effectively with engineering teams
Experience using R, Python, SQL.
Experience distilling informal customer requirements into tangible problem definitions
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to convey technical concepts and their implications to non-experts
Peer reviewed scientific contributions in premier journals and conferences
Knowledge of and some and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, NLP, recommendation systems, forecasting, hypothesis testing
