You will lead the best-of-the-best on an elite technology team with extraordinary consultative skills, an industry point of view and years of customer experience. The MTC is the hub of the Microsoft ecosystem. Key to the role is your leadership of senior Microsoft, Partner and strategic relationships to enable scale and consistency. You will work with top companies—across start-ups, our largest global partners and most strategic customers. Solutions span the Microsoft Cloud – Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. You will be a strategic leader, and help set the direction for how we articulate Microsoft’s vision and differentiate it in the market. You will help customers with their digital transformation to better serve their customers, partners and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue and expand footprint in strategic targeted accounts through sales and marketing programs.

  • Sales & technical coach to opportunities and strategic account planning across the Microsoft field organization spanning the MTC organization including individuals as well as STU, ATU and CSU leaders.

  • Perform as overall manager responsible for the MTC facility and operations, personnel, reporting, expenses, and budgeting. Be single pointof-contact for MTC performance and status reporting within the assigned sales territory.

  • Develop strategic relationships with customers, Account Managers, Technical Specialists, Solution Specialists, and Services. Position Executive Briefings, Strategy Briefings, Architecture Design Sessions, Workshops, Hackathons and Proof-of-Concepts to our internal and external customers and work collaboratively to identify the best combination/course of action for a given opportunity. Coordinate with affiliated virtual teams and partners to the maximum benefit of the customer.

  • As a customer and sales leader, nurture opportunities and accelerate them through the Microsoft Solution Selling Process (MSSP), working closely with the virtual account team. Proactively identify key opportunities with subsidiary sales leadership to sponsor and coach. Build trust with customers and enable their decision-making process using consultative selling techniques. Use CRM and MTC reporting tools to track progress and results.

  • Drive and coordinate WW MTC targeted customer marketing initiatives. Coordinate activities with local market, sales and industry resources to drive targeted customer 1:many and 1:1 engagements to drive impact. Focused on industry and solution area. Create a well developed customer engagement plan with subsidiary sales, marketing and partner leadership to drive across all solution areas.

  • Lead strategic initiatives around the company’s efforts to create Customer Adds including a subsidiary Transformation Academy to address both the developer/architect and executive audience.

  • With the support of the One Commercial Partner team, align partners by segment, solution area and industry to drive pipeline and velocity strategy. Support Global SI & CSP efforts where appropriate.

  • Provide industry leadership in the MTC as a hub for the industry sales teams, industry experiences as well as developing “industry fluency” across the senior TA community.

  • Enable the MTC as a hub for readiness working with the local subsidiary; including partnering with the larger technical community to host in-person readiness events; fostering the local technical community through these efforts.

  • Oversee management of customer experience and facility including the management of vendor staff. Build annual capital request budgets, working with local facility Operations Manager.

  • Attract, hire, develop, and carry overall responsibility for all MTC personnel. Develop consistent goals and commitments, provide support for competency development, deliver performance reviews, and be responsive to team and individual needs. Drive for a high Workgroup Health Index (WHI) results. Foster an environment that values diversity, respect, and open communication.

  • As a member of the worldwide MTC Leadership Community, develop creative processes and plans for building strong customer-centric culture and product and services revenue results.

  • Contribute to development of overall MTC strategy and planning process, by sharing insights and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Sales & Technical Leader

  • Experienced. 8+ years of related experience in technical sales leadership roles and coaching architecture and solution sales required.

  • Customer Obsessed. 6+ years’ experience with consultative or solution selling processes.

  • Strong experience leading and executing on Business Outcome customer transformation with an industry point of view. required.

  • Influencer & Leader. Ability to drive and influence Stakeholder across organizational boundaries through extremely strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, envisioning, writing, and verbal communication skills required. People Leader

  • Recruiter. Demonstrated ability to build a healthy pipeline of great technical sales talents required.

  • Coach. Senior level coach across the Microsoft organization driving key processes, strategy and benchmark selling. Proven experience developing a high-performance team through continuous coaching, and inspiration required.

  • Energy Generator. Able to inspire your team and to build and maintain a high organizational health and satisfaction score required. Business Manager

  • Management excellence. Solid track record of managing business operations and processes required.

  • Inspirational. Experience inspiring others through technical leadership, personal influence, and status as a role model based on consultative selling preferred.

  • Role Model. Proven track record in prioritization and orchestration of resources in and for complex customer digital transformation engagements preferred.

  • Proven track record in either sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, broad evangelism through events (presentation skills), and consultative selling preferred.

  • Additional training or education in Enterprise Architecture preferred.
