In the Local Government team, we care deeply about supporting Local Authorities to get the most out of the solutions they invest in. It is our responsibility to help Councils in the UK to make better decisions that result in better care for the most vulnerable members of society. To do that, we need to help our customers become more productive, to get more from their data, and to digitize as many processes as possible to free up time for their people to offer care and compassion to those citizens who need it the most.

To help Councils achieve this, Microsoft have a broad family of resources who bring diverse perspectives to our customers, building alliances with varying stakeholders at our customer where we truly partner with our customers to support their Digital Transformation journey. The Account Executive is the lynchpin our relationship with customers, building long lasting relationships with Chief Executive Officers, Business Leaders, Chief Digital Officers, and Chief Information Officers.

A passion for learning and creativity is is key skill for a Account Technology Strategist. You will utilize both your existing knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud Solutions to help customers plan their transition to their desired state, but will also learn how our new offerings enable further innovation, and will tell the story of how our technologies will empower our customers to achieve more.

The Account Executive will lead a broad team of pre-sales to help build innovative business cases and use cases for our customers, and work with an Account Technology Strategist to ensure the realisation of these business cases through consumption of Microsoft Technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively engage and run a large virtual team

  • Take our customers on a journey of digital transformation and move to the cloud

  • Work with a Microsoft and Partner team to deliver a fantastic customer experience

  • Account Executive drives, orchestrates and closes opportunities with customers that produce transformative business outcomes.

  • Leadership & Orchestration

  • Coach customers on how to embrace Microsoft’s solution areas, (Modern Workplace, Business Apps, Apps and Infrastructure, Data and AI).

  • Show leadership among entire account team. Direct clear opportunity ownership and support.

  • Continually develop your technical and industry acumen to deliver innovative ideas accelerating customer success in the cloud.

  • Innovate to create consistent, repeatable achievement of revenue and consumption targets through new use cases for Microsoft Solutions

  • Share industry insights to elevate customer conversation and action.

  • Increase Microsoft’s credibility and depth of engagement in the Local Government sector

  • Ensure that the customer gets best value from their investments by driving consumption of cloud services

  • Work seamlessly with the Microsoft Consulting organisation to the benefit of the customer, partners and Microsoft
