SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Senior Business Analyst (BA) will work under the direction of the Business Applications Manager and will be part of the Enterprise Applications strategy and delivery excellence team. This individual will be a key liaison with the business in the areas of Accounting (Fixed Assets, AR, AP, GL, Credit, Job Cost and Tax). The primary focus of this role will be to support the Accounting functions described above in JD Edwards system, and help provide continuous improvement to the business partners. Responsibility include partnering with stakeholders to achieve sustainable productivity through a collaborative and consultative approach. Work with other team members and Analysts in other business functional areas within IS applications, such as Sales and Distribution, Procurement and infrastructure, to support the successful deployment of the solution.
As a Senior Business Analyst (BA), you will be required to assist and provide quality and solid system designs and solutions to solve various business requirements. To be successful, you must be an expert in JD Edwards financial modules, have good knowledge of the accounting practices and have proven experience managing day-to-day support issues and solutions. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management. You should be able to deliver effective presentations, solution walk-through to audiences of all sizes and possess excellent communication skills.
The role requires both broad and deep knowledge of the JDE system, focused on JDE Finance modules and the touch points to other JDE modules, and the ability to troubleshoot issues, and provide improvements by mapping customer business problems to reusable end-to-end business application solutions. The Senior BA will engage in senior level business decision making discussions related to agility, business value, and business processes. The successful candidate should have a Bachelors Degree with a deep understanding of JDE/E1 Finance (AP, GL, Job Cost, Fixed Assets, AR, Credit and Tax). Position requires extensive relevant working experience including expertise in business solutions deployment and support.
Provide day-to-day support with system issues to corporate and field accounting users in the JD Edwards Finance Modules
You need to be able to own the issue and the solution and effectively work with developers and other business units in the company in the creation of the solution
As the Senior BA, you will take the role of a consultant during the early phases, in terms of scoping the issue, gathering requirements and working with the team to put together a solutions document
You should be able to work with the business partners and help them envision the solution value, and how it will benefit the business in the longer term
You will be the key individual who understands the solution and the domain/ industry well. You also need to be the subject matter expert in understanding the customer's requirements and are able to suggest alternatives to alleviate the challenge/ issue being addressed
Manage, Scope and deliver projects and enhancements, in the areas responsible for
Partner with other analysts, developers and other IS functions on all critical system solutions
Follow all SDLC standard documentation for functional and technical designs, test plans and execution
Ensure project execution excellence

Bachelor’s Degree required
Expert knowledge of JDE E1 system configuration standards
At least 3 full lifecycle implementation of JDE Finance Modules – (Fixed Assets, Job Cost, AR, AP, GL, Inventory Accounting, Multi Currency and General Accounting), Vertex, EDI and interfaces
Experience in specifying and supporting Interfaces between external Legacy systems and JDE E1 applications.
Experience in developing detailed functional requirements for reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements as they relate to JDE E1 applications.
Strong understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle
A self–starter able to handle multiple concurrent initiatives
At least 7 years in JDE Packages consulting /solution architecture experience.
Experience with other JDE Modules (Sales and Distribution, Procurement, CAM) will be an asset
Knowledge and exposure to Blackline system, Bottomline AP Automation system is a plus
Experience with Lease Accounting Standards and systems is a plus
Working experience with Oracle UPK product and experience in OATS will be an asset
Strong customer orientation – Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization to obtain, analyze, and discuss business requirements and technical solutions
Should be able to drive business discussions independently and act as trusted advisor
Ability to work in an onsite-offshore team environment - sharing ideas and working collaboratively
Strong analytical problem solving skills, using SQL and other techniques
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills as well as solid verbal and written communication skills
