Pfizer Manager, BAI Hong Kong Lead in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong

The BA Hong Kong Lead is accountable for leading the support of the Pfizer Biopharmaceutical Business of Hong Kong with high quality delivery of BA services (data analytics, primary & secondary market research, reporting, data procurement/stewardship, Data Science / AI and customer insights). The Hong Kong BA leader will work with HK Biopharma leadership to understand their strategic business needs and then appropriately frame issues and deliver actionable insights. Proper execution of this role will result in superior performance of the HK Biopharma business.


Role definition and Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Serve as a strategic analytic advisor to Biopharma leadership in Hong Kong, by proactively engaging and partnering with business colleagues to identify and prioritize business challenges and then develop analytically-based solutions that drive informed decision making.

  2. Deliver the catalog of BAI services, including:

  • Secondary data analysis: Ensure comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and performance through secondary data analyses and generation of insights including country management analytics support

  • Promotion Effectiveness & Insights: Contribute to effective use of promotional resources through forecasting, target analysis, promotion resource allocation analysis, FF sizing/ structure analysis, digital analysis , etc.

  • Forecasting: Deliver product assessments in support of the long-range forecasting process and informing resource allocation, strategies and tactics.

  • Data Reporting and Data Stewardship: including regular/standardized and ad hoc reporting and development of new data sources.

  • Customer Insights: develop Customer 360s, customer profiles and predictive behavior analytics.

  • Advanced Analytics: for unique and limited projects,utilize data science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. 

  • Primary Market Research: For unique business issues, perform limited Primary Market Research including surveys, IDI or group research projects.

  1. Actively seek opportunities to work with Commercial Operations to identify opportunities to implement solutions and services that build on analytic insights.

  2. Be an active member of the Emerging Market Country BA Leadership team. Share knowledge of successful analytics and insights with other markets.

Technical Skills

  • Extensive knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry in Hong Kong, including relevant data sources to meet BU needs, knowledge of all BAI services including data analytics, primary/secondary market research, data reporting, Virtual Analytic Workbench (VAW) / data processing, AI and commercial analytic tools


  • 3+ years of experience in business analytics function, country strategy and/or strategic consulting

  • Track record of thought partnership with commercial leadership to advance organizational priorities and goals


Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline.


Fluency in English and Cantonese (or Mandarin) Chinese required.
