  • POSITION SUMMARY

  • Under the direct supervision of the charge nurse, provides direct nursing care and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment. Demonstrates cooperative relationships and facilitative communication with all members of the health care team.

  • Formal Education and Certifications

  • REQUIRED

  • CPR (if CPR is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPR class after hire)

  • Successful completion of the MNA orientation program

  • PREFERRED

  • C.N.A. Certification Crisis Intervention Class

  • Training and Experience

  • REQUIRED

  • Previous experience in a patient care setting (will be considered)

  • PREFERRED

  • Previous experience as M.N.A. or graduate of an Aide Vocational Technical Program.

  • Crisis Intervention Class
