Virginia State Government Group Home Worker in Portsmouth, Virginia
We are seeking a highly responsible, well-organized individual to fill a full-time position. Excellent benefits. Day/evening/weekend shifts will be required. The group home worker will provide direct supervision and life skills counseling to at-risk adolescents in a residential group home for boys. Will engage in physical activities with the residents.
High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year human services experience. Experience may be paid, volunteer, internship or practicum.
Degree in human services, criminal justice or counseling and experience with at-risk youth preferred. Knowledge of the juvenile justice system and residential experience preferred. Good organizational, written & verbal skills important.
