The University Place Hotel & Conference Center is recruiting for a Temporary Front Desk/Reservation Agent to provide excellent service to our guests.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, organized and detail-oriented to answer guest questions and make reservations.
A great agent is comfortable on the phone, proficient with computers and able to quickly learn our operating system, familiar with the area, able to work varied shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays), and has a welcoming attitude on the phone and in person. The agent must be able to be a team player who can work well with little supervision while completing time sensitive tasks.

Typical tasks will include:

  • Make reservations and assign rooms.

  • Check guests in and out.

  • Resolve guest complaints

  • Answer incoming calls and attend to guest inquires or transfer accordingly.

  • Monitor and respond to email.

  • Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate delivery of information to guests.

  • Cash handling.

This temporary assignment is for 32 to 40 hours per week for up to six months.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ year experience in a Front Desk or Sales role.

Must be able to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Successful completion of a back ground check

Preferred Qualifications:

Hotel experience in Reservations or Front Desk
