Providence Health & Services RN Coordinator-Utilization Review in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a RN Coordinator-Utilization Review (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
The UR Coordinator will work full-time; either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday during day time hours.
The UR Coordinator role is responsible for reviewing patients daily for medical necessity and using InterQual and CareWeb QI criteria. Successful candidates will need to remain current on CMS utilization requirements to ensure compliance, be collaborative with MDs to ensure all the documented elements for inpatient status are present, and have a great eye for detail!
In this position, you will:
Support the care of the patient through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate services and resources to maximize optimum outcomes.
Work collaboratively with the multiple disciplines, both internal and external to the organization, in effecting quality and cost-effective management of the patient care along the continuum.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current, unencumbered Oregon state RN license
5 years of clinical experience in an acute adult medical/surgical care setting -or- 5 years of current Utilization Review or Case Management experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Knowledge of Utilization Review
Familiarity with insurance payors
