You must also have excellent communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization. Department managers have the potential to travel and are tasked with supervising and coordinating multiple projects comprised of crews made of technicians, operators/drivers.CCS is an industry leader in safety, compliance and employee development. Many of our team members have gone on to become supervisors, dispatchers, project managers, department leaders and senior managers. Our departments work independently as a remote team with the support of regional offices. Additionally, team members are provided with advanced technology and equipment to support their ongoing operations.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Department Manager confers with staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.Department Managers participate in the creation of accurate and realistic schedules and budgets.Act as the point of contact for the customer and CCS.Implementing and managing CCS's safety guidelines and regulations for every task, every time.Department Managers are responsible for all aspects of a project from quote and bid to demobilization of personnel and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient project completion.Performs other duties as requiredMEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:ProductivityQuality of workImplementation and use of safety programDemonstrates an advanced working knowledge of Environmental, Hazardous Waste and Chemical handling procedures.ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:Applicable degree and/or 3-5 years industry related/supervisory experience preferably Petro Chemical, and tank cleaning.ESSENTIAL DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Working technical knowledge of project workAbility to plan and schedule resources of time, people, and materialsHandle competing prioritiesDeal with changing expectations and scope of workEffective communication skills, both written and oralOrganizational .and.amp; multi-tasking skillsAttention to detailComplex problem-solving skillsAbility to anticipate and prepare for various events on own initiativeLeadership ability to motivate and influenceJob Type: Full-time
