Providence Health & Services Associate Research Scientist in Portland, Oregon
CORE is a non-profit research laboratory committed to improving community health. Our research and evaluation uses surveys, interviews, and health care claims and other administrative data to find opportunities to do health care better. Providence is calling an Associate Research Scientist (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Building A in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Design research projects, develops partnerships, and acts in the role of co-investigator on health services research projects.
Provide leadership for small grant and contract-based studies and collaborate with other scientists and managers from a variety of disciplines, both within and external to Providence Health & Services.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree in sociology, public health, health services, psychology, epidemiology, or related field required. Work experience (may NOT be concurrent with degree) must include:
5 years of experience in health services research or related industry
5 years of experience developing, managing, and leading research projects
PhD in sociology, public health, health services, psychology, epidemiology, or related field. Work experience may be concurrent, but must include:
1 years of experience in health services research or related industry
1 year of experience developing, managing, and leading research projects
Valid Driver's license required
Experience writing and publishing research articles in peer review journals
