The analyst will create reports that assist member hospitals and purchasing professionals in identifying opportunities for potential savings and standardization thereby supporting the member's overall procurement process. Additional customized tasks include identifying alternate products; providing guidance for reducing spend in certain product categories; developing strategies for reducing costs; coaching members on best practices; assist in responsibilities for more advanced projects and reports; mentoring and coaching team members; and managing daily interaction with clients. Responsibilities: (Specific responsibilities will depend on experience and assignments) Conduct all projects and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Participate in and manage multiple simultaneous activities in an effective manner. Demonstrate an understanding of all functions of the PriceGuide service, and effectively communicate this to PriceGuide members Orient and train new Medical Supply Specialists Demonstrate ownership of a component of the PriceGuide service, and oversee all aspects from start to finish Must have superior customer service skills, willing to communicate via telephone (less through email) Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients by routinely keeping them informed of project status and developments. Use ECRI databases, vendor and manufacturer information and Internet resources, and make recommendations on all aspects of the PriceGuide service. Anticipate internal workload needs, develop solutions and plan accordingly, well in advance of any deliverable need. Read relevant journals and literature related to activities to maintain information and learn all about designated topics. Communicate effectively to all levels of staff, including hospital executives and senior level staff at ECRI Institute. Provide customized analyses/reports to hospital clients by benchmarking hospital data with national-level databases. Transition to training hospital clients on the PriceGuide service via Live Meeting or face to face.
