ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Senior Financial Analyst in Pleasantville, New York

OBJECTIVE:

We have an immediate need for a new role, Senior Financial Analyst. This important role will report to our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to not only join, but influence a growing, international company. This position is based in our Pleasantville, NY office.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and the leadership team to assist the business in achieving short and long term financial goals. This individual will be a key asset to the future success of the company and will further develop the Finance and Sales Department to ensure future financial success.

Reporting directly to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and partner with other leadership team members. In addition, this individual will work closely with our headquarters for planning, forecasting and reporting requirements and ad-hoc needs.

The Sales and Margin Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Lead monthly sales and margin forecast and subsequent reporting and analysis with special focus on customer profitability.

  • Implement and lead weekly customer POS sales analysis.

  • Forecast and analyze impact of external factors (tariffs, exchange rates, transfer pricing, freight) on profitability.

  • Partner with sales team to manage all sales support, including returns, discounts, and co-op support and review customer profitability.

  • Partner with product team to approve and analyze calculations for of new products and follow up the profitability.

  • Partner with FP&A Manager on annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast updates.

  • Partner with supply chain to forecast product demand.

  • Partner with IT department to better utilize technology systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience with a minimum of five (5) years? experience in an analytical role, preferably in a branded consumer goods, distribution, and/or manufacturing environment.

  • CPA designation not necessarily required. This position is an analytical leader who provides relevant information to decision makers.

  • Experience with ERP systems a must, preferably implementing new systems (e.g. SAP S4/HANA).

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation) required.

  • Strong communication skills as this person will partner with the leadership team and drive profitable growth.

  • Ability to build and manage strong, collaborative working relationships and carry high credibility with senior leaders.

  • Must thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities in and hands-on manner while being resourceful and innovative at tackling challenges timely.

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, flexible and high growth environment.

  • Sound organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated hands on mentality with to work in detail and attention on quality outcomes.

  • Superior time and project management skills.

  • Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and deal with change.
