Senior Specialist - Creative Project Management

The Project Management Senior Specialist leads the integration and ensures consistent, on-time completion of projects by executing project plans, defining milestones, assigning resources, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including creative (art directors and copywriters), marketing, digital, social, production, casting/styling, media, and merchandising teams. The Project Management Senior Specialist is capable of seeing the big-picture while keeping an eye on the small details. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, a strong communicator, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about working on high-profile projects that involve branding and multi-channel marketing campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track multiple creative jobs with minimal supervision, monitoring day-to-day project activities, tracking changes and scheduling creative reviews

  • Oversee projects through the creative development process – from kick-off through concept inception, production, to final asset delivery

  • Determine proper documentation, resources, scheduling, and project objectives are in place

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet marketing objectives

  • Maintain trusting relationships with stakeholders and creative team members by comfortably engaging in frequent and proactive communication

  • Keep direct supervisor informed on progress and direction of creative jobs

  • Work closely with Senior Manager and/or Director to mitigate risks on projects and provide solutions

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Mass Communications or related field

  • Minimum 3-5 years of broadcast, print, social and/or digital campaign project management experience (video, radio, pre-print, direct mail, email, mobile, .com landing pages, social media, etc.) from an ad agency or in-house creative services team

  • Strong communication skills to a variety of stakeholders with the ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized information and be an effective relationship builder

  • Must be detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task. Must have a can-do attitude and be willing to help at all times

  • Experience managing processes, resources and schedules with a strong sense of urgency and ability to problem-solve

  • Proficiency with Mac based programs and using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Workfront or other project management tool (Basecamp, Asana, Wrike, etc.) experience required

  • Results-minded and action-oriented; takes ownership; oversees implementation and jumps in to assist/dive in to the details whenever and wherever needed

  • Servant Leader; brings the team along with him/her; humble with a low ego and non-political; able to build strong, trusting relationships and work together productively with others

  • Demonstrated courage of conviction for his/her positions, while being intellectually agile, transparent, flexible and adaptable

  • Undergraduate degree is required, advanced degree preferred
