The Internal Audit Department provides the Board of Directors, senior management and regulators with an independent assessment of JPMorgan Chase's (‘JPMC’) control environment. Audit works closely with the Lines of Business (‘LOBs’) and their support functions to achieve its mission through the execution of a comprehensive audit program designed to test the effectiveness of the controls in place to mitigate the risks inherent in each business. The department is respected throughout the firm for the caliber of the staff and their ability to add value beyond the audit opinion. Globally, Internal Audit has over 1000 auditors.
The Corporate Functions Audit Team is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the control environments across firm-wide Corporate Functions including Risk, AML, Finance, HR, Operations and others. This is achieved through a program of audit coverage, which is performed and managed by a global team of Corporate Functions auditors.
This role is for an experienced audit data analytics professional to join the team. This position will be based in Plano Texas, Columbus or Delaware and the primary focus of this role is develop and drive Audit data analytics.
Propose, build and execute data analytics solutions in support of the full Audit life-cycle objectives.
Build and execute data analytics using tools using tools such as Business Objects, SQL, Python, Alteryx, QlikView, TOAD and others which help support Audit conclusions.
Develop repeatable analytics & tools geared toward Auditor ‘self-service’ capabilities.
Design and develop analytics solutions to support non-cycle based audit activities, including Continuous Auditing & Monitoring, and Risk Assessments
Help to further develop and promote the Global Analytics program and service model
Build and manage relationships and communications with Audit team members.
Work closely with Global Technology to identify, access and source key data elements to support the Audit plan.
Stay abreast of new tools and technologies to assist the team in creating the most efficient and effective data strategies.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Technology (MIS, Comp Science), Business, or related discipline
3-5 years of related Audit and Data Analytics experience.
Detailed knowledge of technology infrastructure and associated risk and controls are a plus.
Experience working with large complex data sets, drawing conclusions and reporting findings
Proven track record of developing and delivering sustainable analytical solutions
Experience with software to query and present data such as Excel, SQL, QlikView, TOAD, Alteryx and others
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and partnership skills
Enthusiastic, self motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability
A high level of professional maturity and the ability to work/deliver with limited supervision
Proven ability to oversee several tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner
Ability to problem-solve successfully
Prepared to travel as required
