Seegrid currently has an opening for a Systems Engineer on our Implementation Team. The Systems Engineer will provide post-sales integration engineering for autonomous vehicle software, hardware, and control systems. Systems engineering engages the customer and third parties to engineer solutions tailored to customer requirements that leverage existing Seegrid capabilities. Successful candidates will clearly communicate system schematics, drawings, and logic designs across multi-disciplinary teams. They will influence product engineering design to improve capability and reliability of fielded systems.
Leverage API and PLC capability to engineer customer solutions
Document system design, including facility drawings, electrical schematics, and API functions
Simulate process flow and kinematic constraints of proposed systems
Commission products into customer facilities and set up applications as defined
Maintain clear and transparent communication among all parties throughout the implementation cycle
Maintain excellent customer relationships and build goodwill
Provide training to customer staff in safety, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of vehicles
Electronically report status of ongoing and completed projects
Follow all company's field procedures and protocols
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in computer/mechanical/electrical engineering or related field
Mechatronics, programming, PLC/controls, state machines, Linux, SSH, networking, sockets experience preferred
AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, Simio experience
Attention to detail, tenacious problem-solving, and drive to see designs through to completion
Professional written English for technical documents and electronic communication
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral, with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization, customers, and partners
Ability to handle, and prioritize accordingly, multiple simultaneous tasks often in tight timelines and deliver success
Ability and willingness to obtain, and maintain, security clearances for customer premises and network access
Willingness to travel to customer sites
