Seegrid Support Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Seegrid currently has an opening for a Support Engineer. This role is responsible for providing high levels of engineering support by deep diving and resolving issues for autonomous vehicle software, hardware, and server systems for our OEM partners, customers and internal personnel.


  • Identify the root cause of escalated issues and develop solutions by means of collaboration with the rest of the team.

  • Provides technical guidance to customers and Seegrid internal personnel

  • Ensures support services are effective and customer's requirements are met

  • Monitors daily progress of support case(s) or projects

  • Remote troubleshooting and support of Linux based Seegrid systems and software, as well as hardware

  • Provisions, configuration, and support of Linux based servers, both physical and virtual


  • Intermediate-to-expert understanding of command line Linux - Debian and RPM distros

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related Computer Science field preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral, with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization, customers, and partners

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in "black box" like environments

  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain security clearances for customer premises and network access

  • Familiarity with industry stand VPN clients, both Windows and Linux variants

  • Familiarity with cloud instantiated technologies: AWS, GCE

  • Familiarity with Wifi and physical network protocols connection methods and hardware

  • Python and shell scripting a bonus

  • Ability to support US EST (9A-5P)

  • Ability to support evening and weekend on call rotation

This position has the option to work remotely / from home after the initial training and onboarding period.
