Seegrid is seeking interns for the software engineering team to work in the areas of robotic system development, fleet management, perception, and data analytics. Interns will work closely with the engineering teams to conceive, design, and implement new products and features and debug the complex issues that arise when robots, humans, and data interact.
As a Software Engineering Intern focusing on 3D visualization and localization, you will explore the data available from our robots' sensors, create novel visualization from it, evaluate its utility for a broad range of tasks, and create prototype implementations of particularly promising options.
Interns will work with a mentor as part of a larger project team, with projects assigned based on the individuals interests and background. This position provides the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to a complex product, work closely with experienced individuals of varying backgrounds, and experience the full life cycle of software development. This is a paid position.

Explore approaches to complex technical problems visualization, localization, and perception
Develop visualizations, explore the data, and implement proofs of concept for follow-on projects
Work closely with a mentor and team of peers
Create high quality code to be used in our robots and other products
Develop and deploy computer vision algorithms in Linux GPU environment
Document work completed, and present complex technical topics to a diverse audience
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
Enrolled in a Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Vision/Image Processing, Information Systems, Machine Learning, or a related discipline
Proficiency and/or familiarity with state-of-the-art approaches to visualization, data analysis, machine learning, object detection/classification, etc.
Experience developing with C++ and/or Python on Linux, experience with GPU preferred
Proficient at writing maintainable and readable code
Must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude, comfortable and demonstrating flexibility in working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
