Seegrid currently has an opening for an Information Security Specialist. The Information Security Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, audit, and improvement of information security controls. This position will be part of Seegrid's ISO 27001 implementation team.
Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations
Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
Performs risk assessments to prioritize efforts
Keeps staff informed by preparing audit and performance reports; communicating control status
Review and cross-references customer specific requirements against Seegrid's information security management system
Maintain and coordinates test of the business continuity and disaster recovery plan
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of information security experience strongly preferred
Experience implementing and maintaining an ISO 27001 compliant information security management system
System administration of Windows, Linux, and macOS systems
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking; firewall, switch, and router operation
Experience performing information security risk assessments
Experience performing information security audits
Experience authoring, reviewing, and training uses on information security policies and procedures
Experience in information security incident response management
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Highly self-motivated and self-directed
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
