Seegrid currently has an opening for an Implementation Field Engineer. The Implementation Field Engineer will be a field-based agent, responsible for training and programming Vision Guided Vehicles into warehouse, distribution and manufacturing centers. The Field Engineer's role is a hands-on customer facing position that is integral into the deployment and adoption of Seegrid's technology at the customer site.
The primary goal of the Field Engineer must be personally engaging with customers at all levels, love new challenges, be energized by being on the road, and have methodical and meticulous problem solving skills.
Attend pre-deployment brief meeting and have a firm understanding of the application as described in the functional spec.
Responsible for assembling, qualifying and training VGVs for designed applications
Responsible for troubleshooting VGVs and contacting support if needed
Control all documentation for qualifying and troubleshooting VGVs
Connect VGVs to local network & Supervisor
Assist with validation of application routes and Supervisor rules on all VGVs
Apply all required configurations and upgrades to VGVs
Open/close account implementations and VGV installation cases
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
BS or equivalent in Engineering preferred or related discipline
Experience with product design, including manufacturing methods, revision control and functional performance is required, including production documentation of drawings, software and BOMs
Detail oriented and demonstrated understanding and discipline of applying engineering fundamentals
Ability to work effectively with customers and field service personnel to diagnose and remedy field issues
Ability to work long hours in noisy and busy environments
Strong customer interface with commitment to customer satisfaction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel extensively (>80%) both domestically and internationally and maintain a clean driving record
Must be highly responsible individual who can work independently and with minimal supervision
