Dollar Bank FSB Collector in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The hours of this position are Tuesday through Saturday 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM
The purpose of the position is to execute all collection activity for the consumer loan, credit card, and/or DDA chargeoff portfolio(s). This individual will collect delinquent accounts via telephone and mail while maintaining compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.
Principle Activities and Duties:
•Makes calls (inbound and outbound) to negotiate payment arrangements with customers.
•Maintains thorough follow-up and documentation of accounts via multiple software systems.
•Counsels customers to establish repayment plans and/or negotiate settlements.
•Conducts online searches and contacts references to obtain customer information (“Skip Tracing”).
•Prepares extensive paperwork for bankruptcy proofs-of-claim, litigation, and charge-offs.
•Performs related administrative duties necessary to service and/or collect the account.
•Good organization, communication, customer service, and phone skills essential.
•Independent, goal-oriented, problem-solving approach to collections
•Demonstrated aptitude for persuasive speaking and negotiation skills via telephone.
•Detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
•Collection industry experience preferred, including skip-tracing and pre-legal preparation.
•High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of collection experience, or Associate’s Degree required.
