UnitedHealth Group Senior Financial Analyst II - Multiple Locations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Develop, perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures
Develop and maintain detailed financial models in support of forecasting and annual budgeting processes
Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
Develop, perform and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions
Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
You’ll have access to the most comprehensive data in the world. You’ll need every bit of your knowledge and skill to sift through it and find the trends that tell the story.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience
3 or more years of financial and operational management experience
Proven experience driving business performance in a high growth environment
Prior work experience anticipating accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and operational issues, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
experience working collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives
Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials
SAS or SQL knowledge
Relevant experience within managed care, health care, prescription benefit management or -pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent data analysis / analytical skills / technical proficiency.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, internal clients and account representatives.
Ability to handle high volume of activity in a fast paced environment
Ability to track several long-term projects at once and prioritize workload
