Position Description :

The Revenue Cycle Specialist (RCS) provides billing knowledge, expertise and oversight in support of the department’s effort to effectively manage its revenue cycle and ensure expedient claims processing and payment for services. The RCS will also prepare analysis and calculation for revenue cycle monthly reports in addition to serving as a resource for all coding and billing inquiries. Understands and utilizes Correct Coding Guidelines and insurance carrier policies and will be accountable for all Emergency Medicine charge\revenue work queues, including edits and rejections. Knowledge of Revenue Cycle, Emergency Medicine billing (both technical and professional), EPIC, Microsoft Office and Excel.

Minimum Requirements :

4 years of experience working within a complex medical office or PBO environment demonstrating proficiency in scheduling and registration, insurance and benefit coverage, billing functionality and financial counseling required.

HS Diploma/GED required

Additional education and training preferred such as Associates/Bachelors degree or Training Certification from a program such as Medical Office Administration, Revenue Cycle, Medical Billing and Coding, etc. preferred.
