Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for completing emergency work in the assigned area, completing daily routines and preventative mechanical and electrical maintenance in the assigned area, completing work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor or Lead Tech, signing out all inventory parts as utilized. Complete emergency mechanical and electrical work in assigned area. Complete daily routines and preventative mechanical and electrical maintenance in assigned area and enter into Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), enter notifications into CMMS from PM inspection and daily routines, complete work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, complete all Safety and Maintenance Level Training as required. Troubleshoot machines when as they break down. Sign out all inventory parts as utilized and research any parts that are non-stock that would be needed for a repair and enter with notification in CMMS. The individual should be functional in the use of power tools. The individual should have a basic understanding and familiarization of industrial power tools such as threaders, benders, etc. This individual should possess a good knowledge of electricity and electrical tro

Requirements

Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Applicants must show as least (12) months of work experience with one employer within the last 18 months. Applicants who have worked for Tyson before may be considered for rehire if they meet our location s rehire criteria. Applicants who were involuntarily terminated from Tyson will not be considered. Applicants who voluntarily terminated from Tyson will not be considered for the following reasons failed to report, walked off job, job abandonment, or no call no show for 3 consecutive days.
