Description/Job Summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is pleased to announce that we are recruiting for our Spring 2019 internships. We are seeking local college undergraduates or recent graduates who are eager to gain knowledge in their chosen field of study and, at the same time, acquire practical, resume-enhancing work experience.

Our fall internship starts at the beginning of February and will run through the end of April. *Each intern is expected to participate in weekly Lunch & Learn sessions on Wednesdays as part of a 16 hour work week. Interns are paid $12/hour. *

The RHD Business Development Team (BDT) and specifically the Writers Group is interested in having an intern for spring 2019.

Position title: BDT Research Assistant

A description of the full range of duties that would be assigned to the student:

The intern will work with the Business Development Team, including the Proposal Writer and Proposal Coordinator and with the Business Development team members to assist with research related to proposal preparation, Funding opportunities and marketing trends, new contracts with Managed Care Organizations, presentations, data analysis and/or other business development projects. He or she would be assigned specific short-term projects, expected to be a few hours in duration for each project, with a time frame for completion. The intern would be expected to attend meetings related to the project(s) on which he or she will be working. In addition, the student will be expected to attend department and team meetings to gain additional familiarity with the functions and duties of the Writers Group and the BDT.

The best candidate for this position is a student who is able to use a range of computer software and applications to search for information, gather and organize data and other information needed for a project and convey that information to the Proposal Writer, Proposal Coordinator and/or other members of the Business Development Team. Required, ability to use Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Outlook and basic Excel. He or she will need to be able to work independently (following instruction) and as part of a team.
