Job Description

This position description encompasses the accountabilities and required skills to support the operations of the Nephrology Fellowship Programs (1 ACGME accredited program with 16 fellows, potentially 3 non-ACGME programs with 1-2 fellows and 4-6 advanced fellows per year). The program coordinator is a member of the leadership team and is critical to the success of the program. The coordinator must possess skills in leadership and personnel management, is expected to have or develop unique knowledge of the ACGME and program requirements, policies and procedures and will be responsible for the day to day operations of the fellowship program with oversight from the Program Director (PD), Associate Program Director (APD) and Division Chief.

Must take initiative and exercise discretion and independent judgement in the coordination of services provided to the program. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines. Reliable, detail-oriented and strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) are required. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with highly sensitive data using professional discretion.

Previous experience with GME or with ACGME programs is preferred as is prior experience in an academic environment. Hours of work need to be flexible based on the needs of the program and may change during certain times of the year. Must be able to demonstrate proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
