Position Description :

The Corporal responsibilities include:

Answers calls and dispatches Security Officers in response to calls; maintains accurate Security and Fire Logbooks and other related documents.

Monitor alarms and close circuit television systems.

Assumes charge position in absence of sergeant; makes up weekly work schedule when required.

Contacts appropriate individuals and locates and interprets Hospital and Departmental policies in emergency situations.

Interacts with the public; answers questions, settles disputes, and makes decisions in manner beyond that expected of Security Officers.

Signs out radios and keys to Security Officers.

Accepts and logs patients' valuables and cash receipts from various departments.

Maintains accurate escort sheet.

Oversees proper tagging and logging of lost and found items.

Assures all door sheets and reports are in at the end of the shift.

Keeps accurate statistics for monthly reports.

Coordinates response to fire alarms and contacts Fire Department.

Responds to all Security/Safety related emergency incidents as appropriate.

Participates in hospital wide programs i.e., HIPPA, Patient Safety etc.

Minimum Requirements :

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required. Valid PA/NJ/DE drivers license required. Minimum one year of experience as a Security Officer required.
