Control System IT Engineer

The Prelude FLNG facility is stationed approximately 450 km North East of Broome, Western Australia, in Australian Commonwealth Ocean waters of 250 meters depth. It is one of the first of its kind, comprising of sub-sea wells tied back to a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility, which encompasses gas processing and liquefaction through to LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, with the requisite supporting marine and utilities facilities. It is Shell Development Australia’s first operating asset. This role will be initially based in the Shell House, Perth office working the standard Monday to Friday roster. As required by the business the position will mobilise to the offshore facility and change to the 3 weeks on 3 weeks off roster.
The Control Systems IT Engineer will organise information security work within Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and ensure interfaces are clearly defined and documented. This role will review and recommend data communication channels and technology selections for data transfers between systems. You will be responsible for assuring ownership and delegations of authority for IT equipment, systems and applications in ICS.
Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities of this role are:
Ensure necessary asset registers on all IT equipment and applications in ICS are maintained.
Maintain logical network drawings of ICS components, creating or modifying component information in the databases as required.
Prepare an overview of security measures implemented and document non-compliance to information security requirements.
Maintain and execute any site-specific procedures required to maintain ICS security compliance.
Execute day-to-day information security tasks related to infrastructure in the ICS.
Monitor servers, networks, access controls and communication equipment using implemented tools, systems and applications.
Maintain and back-up system configuration for servers and network equipment and ensure backups are stored securely.
Review security logs and provide reports for identifying potential intrusion, and escalate incidents as necessary, ensuring incidents are properly investigated, remediated, reviewed and closed.
Implement change management and testing procedures for network and endpoint security and ensure endorsement from the business.
Ensure disaster recovery plans are updated after changes to IT infrastructure or to the organisation, and that testing is done regularly.
Participate in the planning of upgrades and installations of new versions of IT security hardware and software.

The candidate we are therefore seeking for this position, will have/be;
A degree in Information Technology or similar certification.
Demonstrated experience in the support/administration of IT infrastructure services.
Demonstrated experience with IT and business risk management.
Cybersecurity industry certification such as Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), International Information Systems Security Certification (ISC 2 ) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred.
Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders based in various locations.
