The candidate will exercise both thought leadership and practical engineering application by leveraging Systems Engineering and Model-Based Engineering experiences to transform programs from a document-centric approach to a model-based approach to more effectively support our customers and ensure their mission success. You will use your knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy Systems Engineering and Integration solutions for our customers.
Advance the state of the practice for avariety of systems engineering (SE) initiatives such as Reliability &Maintainability (R&M) engineering, Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q)engineering, and Value Engineering (VE)
Support the use of SE principles and bestpractices by the DOD acquisition community and provide recommendations forimprovements.
Interact with DoD stakeholders to promote effectivetechnical collaboration.
Perform statistical data analysis in supportof the SE initiatives.
Broad systems engineering experience (e.g.system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements,CONOPS, systems verification)
Experience using enterprise modeling tools tomodel complex systems using SysML, UPDM, BPMN, and/or UAF
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering disciplineor related science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) field
BS plus 15 years of systems engineeringexperience, MS plus 10, PhD plus 6
Excellent written and verbal communicationsskills with the ability to compile, analyze, interpret, report, present, andrespond to inquiries on data, information, and procedures associated with SEinitiatives
Excellent customer service skills, with anadvanced understanding of customer relationship building
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Master’s degree in Engineering or STEM field
Exposure to multidisciplinary analysis andoptimization tools and event based management tools
Knowledge of DODI 5000.02 and JCIDS process
INCOSE Certification (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP)dependent on experience.
Experience leading systems engineering teamsthrough all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle using MBSE
Experience or familiarity with administrationof Model Based Engineering tools
Broad Model-Based Engineering Applications andTechnology background (i.e., tools, ontologies, OSLC, internet of things,cyber security, etc.)
Experience or familiarity with variousanalytical and decision aid tools (e.g., MatLab, STK, etc.)
