We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator III who will function as Virtualization engineer in a managed services environment supporting a variety of customers ranging from medium size business to large enterprise. The systems administrator’s primary responsibilities include monitoring, administering, and supporting the core services of our customer’s virtualized environments.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Training on Software distribution for 1-20 end points

  • Install/Uninstall (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) agent

  • Locate and read (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) log files

  • Run existing reports and evaluate data

  • Install/Uninstall Antivirus agent

  • Follow provided process documentation and work instructions

  • Resolve end user incidents related to failed software installations

  • OSD Updates

  • Monitor deployments in the infrastructure, if require attention resolve them

  • Resolve patch issues and bring resolution before production. Consult with Level 3

  • Monitor Level 1 has followed the process to create any object in (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) console

  • Be escalation point for Level 1

  • Troubleshoot issues for application deployments or patches at mass level

  • Manage Client health check to meet the SLA every month and continuously

  • Ensure standards are met in (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) console with names and process for applications, deployments, collections, patches…

  • Be able to communicate to client for any escalated issue and bring solution for client-based issues

  • Monitor (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) Infrastructure Health and escalate issues to Level 3

  • Utilize different (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) tools to remediate deployment, patch level and client issues.

  • AV Client Remediation

  • Process document maintenance

  • Pull existing reports

  • Understand the (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) console and navigate it quickly

  • Create patch Software Update Group and deploy them

  • Monitor the deployments

  • Troubleshoot client issue and fix them one at a time

  • Troubleshoot deployments one at a time

  • Be able to reinstall one off (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1) client and remediate issue

  • Troubleshooting = mostly following scripts


  • 2-5 Years’ Experience Supporting (Symantec Deployment Solution - (SYMANTEC DEPLOYMENT SOLUTION - ALTIRIS 8.1))

  • Ability to understand and follow approved documented processes and procedures

  • Basic understanding of Windows Operating System

  • Basic use of Microsoft Excel

  • A+ certified technician

  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN technology

  • Basic understanding of Server operating system technology

  • A minimum of two year’s experience performing desk side support functions

  • Able to create collections for software release and distribution and add clients to collection

  • Able to create packages/applications and deploy

    Soft Skills:

  • Client Email Etiquette

  • Effectively lead detailed technical discussions and develop and present required briefing materials to ensure the customer’s needs are met.

  • Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high‐quality environment

  • Must have excellent team and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
