Description: -The Thermal Analysis Mechanical Engineer will be a member of the hardware engineering team and be responsible for the development of mechanical, structural, optical, thermal and electronic systems and assemblies.

-Responsible for research and development of viable thermal and structural solutions for systems and components.

-Experienced with relevant analytic tools for thermal and structural analysis.

-Create and correlate analytical models to provide guidance for product development.

-Functions also include performance, structural and thermal tests and measurements.

-Reports and documents product structural and thermal performance.

-Assesses design merits with regard to product specification and reliability.

-Works with materials and parts suppliers, including plastics, composites, wrought and cast metals, ceramics, additive materials, fans, blowers, heat-sinks, and thermal interface materials.

Basic Qualifications:

MUST currently hold an Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance with a closed investigation (or re-investigation) within 6 years.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (or related field).

Must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Thermal Engineering or Thermal Analysis with a focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Must have experience with one or more of the following:

-Experience with CFD solvers (preferably FloEFD 15 or higher)

-CFD pre/postprocessors

-Experience with FEM solvers (preferably Siemens NX 10 Thermal Suite or higher)

-FEM pre/postprocessors

-Thermal test planning and execution skills

Desired Skills:

-Proficiency in active thermal control hydraulics and refrigeration, as it relates in the Aerospace sector

-Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills.

-Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills for generating test plans, test reports, documentation and potentially proposals are necessary.

-Mature computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

-Experience with FORTRAN style input decks OR other comparable computer language.

-Experience with ablative thermal protection systems.
