KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Technical Pre-Sales to join our Managed Services organization.


  • Enable the sales process by working on deals assigned to the Sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit; Participate in direct client engagement, provide and facilitate the sharing of product details including demonstrations, and ultimately, coordinate solution design

  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address client requirements, assesses client’s met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the client and the firm

  • Provide coaching and professional development to Sales personnel in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills

  • Monitor client support for solutions proposed throughout the Sales process, and alerts the Sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure

  • Receive product ideas and collaborates with Product Managers to conduct market validation

  • Make recommendations to the Head of Product Management and on go/no-go and product divestment


  • Minimum ten years of experience in managing large outsourcing contracts for application services

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university

  • Experience with managing third party relationships with outsourcing suppliers, direct client engagements, including close collaboration with Sales

  • Exceptional leadership skills in strategic planning, decision making and problem solving

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter, innovator style with a “make it happen” mentality

  • Travel may be up to 60-80%
