Our highly respected and reputable Healthcare Organization in Orange County is currently searching for a detail-oriented, experienced, self-motivated and highly organized, Area Volunteer Manager who will be responsible to perform all aspects of the volunteer program for assigned offices in Orange, Riverside, and West LA. The successful applicant will be a career minded professional and have a positive attitude.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the volunteer program based in the following locations: Orange, Riverside and West LA.

  • Plan and supervise the delivery of volunteer services: Assesses and monitors program needs and develops appropriate volunteer activity and positions (patient care, bereavement, administrative, expanded services such as a foundation Angel Ambassador or services rendered under the Healing Hearts Initiative).

  • Plans and provides ongoing volunteer training: Provides educational material and agendas for each volunteer training class.

  • Plans and coordinates volunteer retention activities: Provides regular contact with all active volunteers.

  • Provides events to recognize volunteer accomplishments.

  • Keeps required statistics of volunteer contributions: Maintains monthly volunteer hours.

Job Requirements:

  • A reliable automobile when travel is required.

  • A current state of employment Driver?s License.

  • Evidence of automobile insurance when travel is required.

  • Criminal Background clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Experience in a related field and in volunteer activity.

  • Comfortable with public speaking and community outreach events.

  • Demonstrated skill in administrative functions, which include the ability to develop policies and procedures.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute a supportive and sensitive approach to volunteer and patient/family needs.
