Robert Half International Payroll Administrator in Ontario, California

Description

My client, a prominent leader in the printing industry, is looking for a new payroll administrator to help with the heavy workload brought on by a new acquisition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Administer all daily, weekly and bi-weekly payroll production processes and activities, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of all non-union and union hourly, salary, paid time-off, off-cycle, commission, incentive, garnishments, 401(k), health benefits and garnishment tasks. Reconcile payroll accounts, tax accounts, workers? compensation accruals and other payroll records at month-end, quarter-end and year-end. Perform general clerical duties associated with the essential functions such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, mailing and filing. Provide guidance and assistance in resolving employee payroll inquiries. Document and maintain all written payroll policies and procedures. Interact with internal and external auditors to ensure the compliance with appropriate controls. Contribute to projects by driving process improvements within the department and throughout the organization. Train other departments for inputting, auditing, or running test batches before processing to ensure no errors. Issues final check as a result of employment termination.

Requirements

Proficient use of Paycor Payroll, Time-Pro Time Attendance, Kronos, Ad Hoc or Business Intelligence Reporting and Self Service platforms. Proficient knowledge of Federal, State and Local Payroll Tax withholding processes related to key areas of responsibility. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Functional understanding of Payroll and HR terms and processes. Functional general ledger accounting experience. Project and HRIS (human resources information systems) experience. 1+ years of experience in payroll Associates Degree in accounting or related field
