Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech) operates the state's core technology infrastructure, the central network and data center and supports enterprise applications. WaTech also houses the State Office of the Chief Information Officer and the Office of Cyber Security. Our customers include state agencies, county, city and tribal governments as well as nonprofits. We enable public agencies to better serve the people of Washington through technology. What would you be doing in this role? SecureAccess Washington (SAW) is Washington state's authentication service for public facing web applications. More than 20 agencies and over 200 applications rely on us to securely log their users in. As a developer working on SAW, you will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the software stack that supports this system. As the Developer, this position serves as the designated highest level authority responsible for Internet/intranet protocols; design of security infrastructure; and development, building, testing and deployment of specialized tools to support WaTech Enterprise Security Services with a focus on Secure Gateway Services including Web Services Gateway, Secure Access Washington, and Fortress Anonymous. Serves as the developer and software architect of the custom implementation for Java programming language and Tivoli Access Manager (TAMeb) to support ESS. Performs specialized system design, implementation and support of these statewide, mission critical security services. Provides consulting in design reviews for high risk, high impact application integration into the statewide security infrastructure to state and local government customer agencies. Here's what we are looking for: Experience in the following. Experience can be concurrent. Five (5) years of programming in an Object Oriented language and knowledge of at least two other programming languages. Five (5) years of experience building web applications. Five (5) years of experience applying OWASP principles and recommendations. Five (5) years of experience building high traffic, high availability systems.
