Under the general supervision of the Behavioral Health Services Director and Nurse Manager, the Quality Management Specialist provides direction and oversight to a specific set of functions within the Behavioral Health Services, and is responsible for the following: * Ensuring the quality and appropriateness of BHS patient services across the continuum of care. * Espousing the mission, values and ethics of Company and Ogden Regional Medical Center, serving as a professional role model. * Data collection, data entry, analysis of data, and compilation of reports in various computer systems and databases to drive process and quality improvement. * Involvement with medical record review, chart reviews, data analysis and compilation of reports as assigned by the Executive Director. The Quality Management Specialist will drive the Hospital Quality plan and the development of studies as assigned by the Director and-or Nurse Manager. * Functions as a resource person for staff members and assists in necessary education of individual members of the staff. * Serves as the BHS Patient Advocate, acting as the first contact for patient complaints, investigating patient concerns, and closing the loop on formal patient grievances. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: LICENSURE-CERTIFICATION-REGISTRATION: * Current Utah RN license in good standing * Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider. ACLS certification is recommended.
