What Materials Distribution contributes to Cardinal Health

Material Distribution is responsible for keeping the hospital fully stocked and providing total customer service. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize shortages and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels. The receiving department will be responsible for receiving POs and reporting discrepencies.

Materials Distribution is responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels. Receiving department will be responsible for the receiving of Cardinal, FedEx and UPS products.

Accountabilities

  • Normal work hours will be 4:30 am-1:00pm Tuesday-Saturday. Youwill need to be available to work weekends. You must be flexible to changes in the work schedule.
  • Filling the Pyxis Machines at hospital by unloading totes on established routes.
  • Based at Tri City Medical Center in Oceanside, Ca.
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Receiving experience a plus

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft office preferred
  • Disciplined, checking expired products
  • Change into scrubs daily, no visible tattoos allowed in hospital
  • Required to get vaccinated annually (Flue, TB, TBD)
