Therapist, Preschool Day Treatment Classroom Position Summary: Provide group and family therapy to students enrolled in the Therapeutic Early Childhood Day Treatment Program within the 916 School District. This mental health day treatment is a collaborative project between Canvas Health Inc. and Intermediate School District 916. Therefore this position is collaborative in nature and requires working closely and being sensitive to relationships with the school district as well as with community providers and the local Social Service and Court Services departments. This position will work closely with the Early Childhood Special Education teacher to provide leadership to the educational and clinical staff in developing an atmosphere within the classroom that is sensitive to individual children's needs to promote academic learning and mental health treatment. Qualifications: Masters or Doctorate Degree in a professional area of practice which has resulted in qualification as a Mental Health Professional or eligible as a Mental Health Professional. MN state license and eligibility to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities required e.g., LP, LICSW, LMFT, LPCC. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in working with mental health disorders in early childhood and adults, family systems theory, individual and family development and community systems. Previous experience in providing DC 0-5 assessments is required. Experience with Electronic Health Record systems preferred. This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require frequent use for traveling between office and clients. An active driver's license and vehicle insurance per agency policy is required. Use of a cell phone is required for this position. Employee must be able to work flexible evening hours.
