Federal Signal has an immediate opening at its Oak Brook corporate offices for a Staff Tax Analyst who will work in multiple areas of tax including federal, state and international income tax reporting.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

nn


+ n

Assist in preparation, coordination, and timely filing of US consolidated federal income tax return and estimated tax payments.

n

n

+ n

Assist in preparation and timely filing of state and local income tax returns, estimated tax payments, state modification calculations, multi-state allocation and apportionment calculations, and calculation and documentation of state credits

n

n

+ n

Assist in developing and supporting responses to federal IRS audits requests and notices

n

n

+ n

Assist in developing and supporting responses to various state audit requests and notices

n

n

+ n

Research and analysis of tax issues

n

n

+ n

Federal and State tax depreciation calculations for various subsidiaries

n

n

+ n

Participate in special projects, tax planning and assist with other tax compliance as needed

n

n

+ n

Identify and implement process improvements to facilitate streamlining and automation for tax compliance, reporting and planning

n

n

+ n

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by remaining current on existing and new tax regulations and communicate the impact of new tax developmentsn

Position Requirements

n

n

+ n

Bachelor?s Degree Required ? Accounting or related field

n

n

+ n

CPA or working towards CPA designation preferred

n

n

+ n

0-2years of tax compliance experience

n

n

+ n

Excellent computer skills, specifically with managing large data within MS Excel

n

n

+ n

Previous public accounting or large corporate industry experience preferred

n

n

+ n

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines

n

n

+ n

Self-starter and team player

n

n

+ n

Strategic Thinking / Problem Solving Skills
