We are looking for a creative individual with passion for education and project management to help bring our ideas, both digital and print to life.

The Project Manager role will serve as a project management lead through all functional areas, through the project lifecycle. This role executes on the delivery of all assigned program components across multiple platforms over the entire course of the program (initiate, plan, build, execute, control, release). The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that project delivery objectives are achieved in accordance with established business goals, project plans and requirements.

The Project Manager facilitates, and directs activities to deliver projects according to established financial, schedule, and quality objectives and keeps a focus on establishing and maintaining best practices and ensuring quality in the whole process.

The Project Manager role is also responsible for communication, stakeholder and procurement management at the project level.


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent qualification

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Minimum of 2-4 years job experience preferably with aspects of project management.

  • Experience in the educational marketplace preferred for work in K-12 and HED programs.

  • Ability to develop integrated project plans in accordance with program roadmaps, including collaboration with the Product Owner, Media, Content Development, and other key team members in development of plans (resource planning, release planning, timeline & milestone development, task assignments)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite, Smartsheet, Google Documents and other software and email tools typically used by Project Management professionals at Pearson.

  • Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a demanding and changing environment.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to create project plans, prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects.

  • Proven understanding of team dynamics and ability to foster a positive team environment.

  • Ability to create and manage budgets and project schedules to successful meet program goals

  • Ability to set agendas and lead successful meetings

  • Experience with managing onshore and offshore vendors – negotiating and executing contracts, creating work for hire agreements and purchase orders

  • Familiarity with content management, authoring/assembly tools and data management systems.

  • Fundamental understanding of permissions, text and image
