Kforce Benefits Planning Consultant in North Quincy, Massachusetts

Kforce's client in Boston, Massachusetts (MA) is seeking a Benefits Planning Consultant on a temporary basis.Responsibilities include:

  • Identify Benefits program design enhancement or cost saving opportunities based upon the analysis of various sources of data, report, trends, and analytics

  • Assess and measure the realized impact of plan design and other changes

  • Partner with global and local Benefits leadership and other team members on the project management of benefit programs, projects, technology, reporting/analytics, and governance, specifically the annual governance reporting required by the Global Benefits Strategy and related committee charters

  • Manage the benefits-related workstream of all mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, etc.

  • Key stakeholder or manager on projects including transitions to new vendors, implementations, international RFPs, etc. to drive the company's benefits strategy while improving efficiency and managing costs

  • Effectively partner and collaborate with Finance, GHR Shared Services, HR Business Partners, Legal, Procurement, other internal partners and external benefits consultants, administrators and vendors to ensure performance and maximize value

  • Work closely with vendors to ensure timely and accurate benefits processing (eligibility, payments, data valuations, etc.); Report and monitor metrics and service level agreements

  • Support the Global Benefits team with department budgeting and assist in the development of specific project budgets and financial reports to assess programs

  • Use data to evaluate the impact of enterprise programs (such as wellness activities) on plans and report related cost impact

  • Analyze benefit and retirement plans and develop relevant dashboards to support management in the evaluation of plan value and employee impact

  • Interpret, summarize and report findings on global benchmark data and claims analysis provided by external consultants

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Management, Economics, or equivalent; CEBS certification, MBA or PMP certification preferred

  • 8 years of experience with benefit plan design, consulting, and administration for benefit programs including knowledge of retirement plans (qualified and non-qualified) and health and welfare benefit programs and supporting regulations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; polished presentation, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to partner with and lead teams to deliver project objectives, to work both independently and as part of a team, and to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are critical for success

  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and an ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization

  • Previous actuarial, underwriting or consulting experience strongly preferred and international benefits knowledge a plus

  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint, and a strong technical aptitude
