CACI International System Engineer in Norfolk, Virginia
CACI is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for a large US Navy program in Norfolk, VA.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Guide and advise a team of systems engineers and work with senior naval leadership to support to the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Collaboration and Intelligence (C5I) Maintenance Modernization effort.
Support the development, promulgation and implementation of maintenance and modernization requirements, policy, processes and procedures that are accomplished by Shipyards Maintenance Activities, Private Alteration Installation Teams (AITs) and any other team or organization who performs the duties or functions of an AIT on a U.S. Navy vessel.
Assist in the planning and execution of an integrated maintenance process that includes establishing policies and responsibilities for determining, authorizing, planning, scheduling, performing and evaluating maintenance of ships, to ensure quality, safety and required levels of operational and material readiness are maintained.
Assistance in establishing a SEA-21 NAVSEA Ship’s Platform Manager (SPM) and associated Planning Yard (PY) for NAVY C5I systems installed in Navy ships.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ensuring C5I functional capabilities support.
Will assist with providing SME support for COMNAVSEASYSCOM Warfare Systems Certification Events.
Be able to participate and evaluate C5I fielding plans that impact the maintenance and modernization portfolio to include CANES fielding plans, afloat Operation Rolling Tide (ORT) installation progress and selected programmatic issues.
Must be able to attend C5I meetings and conferences to provide input/gain information or historical knowledge as a SME and provide leadership a synopsis of topics discussed, decisions made or actions required by commands and if required provide draft documents, position papers, presentations, and other support related materials as directed.
Must be able to interface with ECH I, II and III Navy C5I Maintenance and modernization Stakeholders in support of CNO and C5I initiatives, decision making and planning and execution of requirements.
At least ten (10) years of recent experience in C5I. Must have experience as a Certification Manager for Combat Mission Systems.
Must be able to coordinate with Government personnel at a multitude of Warfare Centers to ensure certification plans are on track for timely.
Must be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Must be able to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks.
Must be able to provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.
Alternate Acceptable Qualifications:
Education Requirement: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Bachelor’s Degree with eight (8) years of General Experience, six (6) years must be of recent Specific Experience.
Master’s Degree with seven (7) years of General Experience, five (5) years must be of recent Specific Experience.
