JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

A Data Entry Clerk will capture data into relevant databases in a timely and accurate manner. You will identify and correct errors, and swiftly bring them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary. The position will liaise with and follow up with employees and managers within the company continuously updating our company's databases.

Essential Functions

  1. Gathering invoices, statements, reports, personal details, documents and information from other departments and clients then entering and updating information into relevant databases.

  2. Scanning through information to identify pertinent information.

  3. Correcting errors and organizing the information in a manner that will optimize swift and accurate capturing.

  4. Creating accurate reporting & databases

  5. Resolving data inaccuracies while assuring compliance and process improvement.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent. Advanced training/certification/education preferred

  2. 2+ experience with data entry & database management

  3. Proficient with computer and various software packages & databases utilized with SCC

  4. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills

  6. Ability to make decisions independently.
