Performs repairs and assembly on various mold products; inspects product during and after the process to ensure quality. Continuously demonstrates and promotes a commitment to quality.
Develops basic fundamentals needed to perform duties related to setting up, assembling and attaching delicate mold components with precision while consistently monitoring for quality.
Trains on visual inspection of mold products for multiple stations to identify defects for repair; begins to recognize and understand the cause of defects in mold patterns; notifies appropriate personnel of any irregularities or concerns.
Repairs defects in mold using various hand tools (scalpel, paint brush, mold parts, etc.) according to established guidelines; evaluates repair using various hand tools (mirrors, fiber light, etc.).
Refers to limit samples to assist with repair process ensuring proper repair procedure is taken to fix mold product defects.
Assembles mold components into visually and dimensionally acceptable patterns; pre-inspects pattern and/or gating prior to start of assembly; inspects assembly during and after process to detect defects and ensure quality.
Measures mold parts within unit to ensure proper dimensions according to work standards.
Reads, interprets and follows established guidelines, work instructions and/or applicable quality control procedures; understands the importance of quality of work and maintains required quality level.
Responsible for accurately completing required paperwork and/or check sheets to track process.
Gains knowledge of with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ITAR EAR requirements for designated work area. Performs 6S checks to ensure that areas are safe and clean.
Must successfully pass functional area assessment.
Working knowledge of measurements; understands written and verbal quantitative measures.
Ability to work with small hand tools.
Requires a working knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft Office.
May be assigned additional duties and/or special projects.

Requires high school diploma or GED with 0-6 months of assembly, inspection, or related manufacturing experience.
Great attention to and an eye for detail. Must be able to read and follow work standards and complete check sheets and forms. Requires manual dexterity.
Inspection of molded parts experience. Must be able to distinguish between colors and pass a vision test.
Must successfully pass mold training program. Basic computer skills.
May have to work overtime and may be assigned to other shifts based on company needs.
